How we work...

The Centre aims to provide a resource to the people of Southwold, Reydon and nearby villages, offering a range of 'helping-hand' services such as:

  • befriending
  • driving
  • gardening
  • shopping
  • signposting to other organisations

Driving is the service in most demand. With the continued deterioration in rural bus services, it is a vital resource for local people who do not have their own transport.

Many of the individual services we provide are in response to referrals from statutory and other organisations such as GPs, Social Services, the Church etc. We see our services as complementary to and working with such bodies.
